Christophe started his involvement with canines at an early age, beginning with him being involved with the development of a private canine business. Early on, Christophe developed natural abilities in raising puppies and strived towards exposing them to new stimulus and environments. His patience, compassion and determination proved to be instrumental in developing a puppy raising program. This made him very successful in developing the puppies for not only Sport Clubs but for French Military, law enforcement and the Special Forces K9 programs.
During his later years as a Canine trainer, Christophe worked on the operational practicalities of K9 by combining agility, bite work and other various forms of detection. Christophe’s detection training and insight gained through the development program helped many Military units overcome obstacles in extreme conditions, as well as complex tactical situations. Christophe always explores ways of pushing the limits of what seems possible at the time. His forward thinking has led to increased safety of Military Units and Police Units around the globe. Christophe’s natural teaching skills with the teams has helped him to understand the industry from both the buyer and seller’s perspectives.
Christophe’s best qualities are his tenacity, work ethic and ability to quickly adapt to obstacles that present themselves. He always finds a way to resolve issues that may seem impossible in the K-9 industry.
Jay Malley is the Canine Training Manager at the UAE K9 Training Academy.
Jay is widely respected by his canine peers in the use and deployment of working dog teams. He has vast experience in domestic & international terrorism, spanning approximately 30 years of continuous service. Jay’s multiple Military and Police K9 deployments in hostile environment to Afghanistan and Iraq while supporting the U.S. Dept. of Defense, U.S. Dept. of State, as well as the Private Security Sector have continued to drive his passion for training and producing effective K9 teams.
Jay has served in every role from a Police K9 Patrol dog Handler responsible for multiple criminal apprehensions, a Handler in Afghanistan where he successfully located multiple IED’s, to the Canine Project Manager of the Saudi Embassy in Washington ,DC.
Jay’s greatest strengths are his industry knowledge, attention to detail, creativity, vision, drive, and leadership. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach and actively helps make the world a safer place.
Stephane Hubert is a trainer at the UAE k9 training academy.
Stephane started his immersion in the canine industry at the age of 12 when his parents created a breeding program which first supplied canine sport enthusiasts but transitioned
quickly to provide the French military and police with their need for Belgian Malinois and German shepherds.
For the last 15 years, Stephane developed comprehensive seminars about Canine behavior and bitework, which he had the chance to teach, law enforcement, military, and special forces on the proper way to deploy with their canine partners. Emphasis was placed on different levels such as obedience, patrol and tactical behaviors needed during special forces deployments.
In his years, Stephan has given hundreds of seminars and was even the model figure in ” Ray Allen” the biggest vendor of Police dog equipment.
Stephane’s greatest strengths are the hard work and countless hours he puts into creating working dog teams. He strives to produce the best and most symbiotic relationship between the dog and the handler as possible.
Sarah Wholley is an Instructor at the UAE K9 Training Academy. Sarah has over six (6) years of Operational Law Enforcement experience. She served as a K9 team/tactical member; defensive tactics instructor; as well as a dual purpose K9 Handler. She is a certified train-the-trainer for Pressure Point Control Techniques (PPCT) and Strategic Self-defence & Gunfighting Tactics (SSGT). She holds 4 years of experience as an adjunct instructor at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy, utilizing her defensive tactics and patrol training to develop high quality skills and confidence in police recruits.
Seeking a higher involvement in Homeland Security, she deployed as a K9 handler in an overseas capacity under DOD contracts. She was responsible for countless finds during multiple missions in Afghanistan.
Most recently, Sarah joined a stateside start up K9 company and assisted in building operations in the Northeast. While maintaining a strong leadership presence in the NYC/JFK area; she has also bridged the gap between operational expectations and the K9 Academy product. Her insight and in-depth knowledge of field operations and ability to identify K9 handler weaknesses-attributing to training deficiencies; has had a confirmed effect on the depth of training that operational ready handlers possess.
Sarah is considered a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for international business development and K9 Cargo Screening program conveyance. She has spent time internationally assisting and setting up Canada’s version of the TSA Cargo Screening Program.
She is actively involved in the recruitment process; business development; safety council; employee and business relations She creates a culture of educational enlightenment and positivity while being an efficient, rational, role model for K9 teams participating in the program. Sarah possesses a bachelor’s degree in Public Management with a concentration in Criminal Justice.
Sarah’s undeniable ability to persevere through adversities, her impeccable work ethic, and incredible level of loyalty makes her an immediate asset to any program.
Brandon Cleveland is a Canine Instructor and trainer at the UAE K9 Training Academy.
Brandon began his career as a United States Army Military Police Working Dog handler. After over 13 years of honorable US military service, he continued by aiding US and Coalition Forces in the Global War on Terrorism. Brandon worked with the US Department of State as a Contract Working Dog handler/trainer as well as a Personal Protection Specialist in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has vast experience in domestic & international terrorism, span over 20 years of continuous service.
Brandon has spent many of his canine years on deployments in hostile environments in Iraq, Afghanistan, Middle east, as well as Europe in various capacities. Brandon patience and willingness while training host Nation K9 teams abroad in maintaining proficiency in narcotic detection, explosive detection, and patrol make him an asset to the Academy.
